Numerologist Sanjay B Jumaani says that the Big B’s destiny number is 1, and he’s likely to get along well with other number 1s. “His destiny number, 1 (11+10+1942=1), represents the powerful Sun and also leadership. In fact, 90 per cent of his films with Rekha, also a number 1, were superhits! Bahu Aishwarya (01/11) is a number 1 too,” says Jumaani. He also says that there’s a numerological reason behind a similarity between AB and son Abhishek’s career paths – they both had a string of flops in store for them before they got the rewards of their work. “Number 8, Saturn (Shani), also governs all Librans (Amitabh is a Libran), and it usually entails trials and then rewards. Big B had to endure 11 flops at the beginning of his career; son Abhishek is also governed by Saturn as all Aquarians are, and also had to pass through similar tests, what with his first 13 films being flops!” says Jumaani.   ...as AB turns 66   Amitabh Bachchan is governed by the romantic Moon (No 2) and creative Neptune (No 7),” says numerologist Sanjay B Jumaani, and the association with the Moon makes him such a hit in romantic films. “Some of the greatest romantic actors such as Dilip Kumar (December 11), Rajesh Khanna (December 29), Shah Rukh Khan (November 2), Sanjay Dutt (July 29), Naseeruddin Shah (July 20) and Ajay Devgan (April 2) have done well with the gifts of imagination and romantic qualities that Moon endows,” says Jumaani. AB and Abhishek are both governed by Saturn, and “while the senior Bachchan is wearing a blue sapphire (neelam) to appease Saturn (it did revitalise his career, from being down and out with ABCL losses, giving him Mohabbatein & KBC), AB junior is sporting an amethyst, a substitute to a blue sapphire,” says Jumaani. But all’s not gung-ho, he warns. “Big B is going to enter his 67th year, and 67 adds up to 4, Uranus, or Rahu… 4 doesn’t gel with 8 of Saturn, and I hope I’m wrong, but the Big B better watch out with regard to his health, especially the stomach. He would do well to watch his diet; strain or anxiety too leads to digestive problems. Yoga, meditation and periodic relaxation could help. Numerologist Sanjay B Jumaani had said, when predicting that Amitabh Bachchan would have stomach problems this year, that he hoped he was wrong. It turned out that he wasn’t when, on his birthday, the day Jumaani’s prediction appeared in Delhi Times, Big B was rushed to the hospital in Mumbai with a stomach complaint. Jumaani was immediately called by mediapersons for a response, and it continued all day long. Here is his account of the day, and his reaction when he heard the news. “When Delhi Timesasked me a few days ago for a forecast on Big B’s birthday, I wrote back that I hoped I was wrong, but he had to guard against health problems, specially stomach ailments of the worst kind. Little did I expect a call from DT a few hours after the prediction appeared in the paper on Amitji’s birthday, saying that my prophesy was bang on target. I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t excited. And this is strictly from a numerologist’s creative point of view, however selfish it may sound. Later, the ignominy of the situation sank in, and I had some shameful moments that were very hard for me to ‘stomach’! I felt miserable, just as someone would have felt after making a correct forecast for an earthquake or a tsunami. I preferred to call it the flip side of my profession and pretended that this was the face-saving part of the episode, even if my wife Jhernna wasn’t a bit convinced. I got at least 35-36 calls from mediapersons, and my clients also emailed and SMSed me, congratulating me for the prediction and saying that they were also praying for Amitji. Most callers asked me how I predicted this, how he could recover soon, and for a prediction of the year ahead for him. Number 4, Uranus (Rahu) doesn’t gel with Saturn (Shani),number 8,which governs Librans.In 1982, when the Big B miraculously cheated death after reviving from a coma, making the mother of all comebacks, he was in his 40th year and 40 = 4, Uranus. Eerily, history caught up with him again, the day he entered his 67th year (67 = 4 again)! As earlier suggested, yoga, meditation and relaxation is what the doctor (or numerologist) ordered. I have also suggested a gem, gomedh (hessonite) to counter Rahu.
